I received a copy of Gunslinger, in exchange for my honest review.
I'm not a huge sports fan, very much like our lead character Sabrina. But you don't need to know anything about football, because Lisa Lang Blackeney helps us understand it all!
This book was funny and I loved the chemistry between Saint and Sabrina. She wants Jason, her work college for the last three years. Of course its a crush that isn't reciprocated until she starts an affair with hunky quarterback Saint. Saint can't believe his luck. The night he is jilted at the alter, her finds Sabrina drunk, and takes her to her hotel room. Fast forward three years and he meets her again in a restaurant, but she has no clue that he's this mega millionaire football star. She could care less about any of that, and so he is intrigued by her.
I loved the build up for this book, the only down side I thought was the middle of their romance, seemed to be fast forwarded. I was hoping to really feel them fall in love, but it seemed the beginning, where they were interested but fighting, that the book progressed at a nice comfortable pace, but after their first time together it fast forward to being head over heels in love. The book could of been a little longer to see that progression, but that's just my wishful hope to get more of their story.
Definitely a great read! 4 Stars
