This book was by far, one of my favorites from Anne Jolin, because it wasn't your typical romance novel! It is a complete story, that is a stand alone novel, without continuations or cliff hangers!

The story centers around Charleston, who is our perfectly imperfect heroine.  Charleston experiences such tragic grief that even 9 years later she is till trying to understand her grief and let go of the past. We are aloud the privilege of following Charleston along her journey to self love after her brother dies from a addiction and the love of her life abandons her. This book includes, not one, not two, but three sexy hot men all vying for Charleston's attention.

This book made me reflect on my own grief and really made me understand myself more through Charleston's struggles and accomplishments. This is one of those books that comes along that completely changes your life. This book is one of those books that everyone can take away a different part. Maybe for you this book is about a successful women trying to find love. Maybe for someone else it is about a broken women who struggles everyday to keep from drowning in her own emotions. We all have a little Charleston in us, so we can all relate to her, causing Charleston to be a 'real' character. Her story is one we can sympathies and relate too.

This is a MUST READ!

How to tame beasts and other wild things by A. Wilding Wells

This book is unlike any other out there! It is so different then anything I've read in a long time. But that's a breathing. The book will make you laugh out loud and cry, in a matter of a few pages! The story is about a oned  but of a bit named Balthazar Cox, he's trying to run a Successful farm while raising twin toddlers. Then his sister in-law Matilda Pearl arrives on her father's orders to find Balthazar a nanny/wife. These two don't want to like each other but the unlikely pair are,perfect for each other. This book has so many twists and turns that you are constantly engaged with the story. I was so made when I had to put the book down the first night in order to get to sleep. I wanted foxtail all night to finish this amazing story? This is definitely a must read! I can not wait for more great stories from this author!

I have to question the authors life after reading this book. If it is in anyway based on real events, she is living an amazing life! I often share stories f my life and say "I can't make this stuff up."  I have a feeling Me. Wells can say the same thing 😉.

Today is the release day for this amazing story! This story revolves around a two MC clubs. It's not my usual style of book, ut I really loved it! If you like Sons of Anarchy (SOA) you will LOVE this book! The characters, Boz and Trix are both so surprising and real. Trix is a daughter of a local Club Prez. She's finishing up her college degree and getting ready to graduate. Boz is the president of the Grim Bastards MC. He has Trix and her friend kidnapped because a shipment of guns has been taken and he blames Trix's father. This is a very interesting world that the bikers all live in. While I don't care for the way of life in the MC I felt like I learned more and understand better. The love story between Trix and Boz is twisted ad crazy, but hey who am I to judge. It was a great story, with twist and turns and danger. It was a fast read because it kept you wanting more.

This story is a stand alone novel with a conclusion. It is considered a motocross story, which isn't usually my favorite, but this one is so different. First its not a MC book, and it references motorcycle racing as Reese's profession. This book starts off great and keeps the reader interested all the way through.

The story revolves around Kayla who is a nurse at the local hospital. The story opens with hot doctor Dev hitting on Kayla. Then she's is a witnesses to a drunk driving motorcycle accident, where she helps the victim from the scene all the way through the E.R. trauma. At the E.R. she learners that the victim is none other than the twin of the hottie doctor. Reese is hurt bad, and requires 24 hour care for 3 months while he recovers. Nurse Kayla gets the job, which causes her to spend a lot of time with Dev and Reese. Thee guys sure know how to make a women feel wanted.

This is a ménage brother story, but it is so not what you are thinking! It is not your typical story, and such twists and turn all the way to the end. Hold on tight because its going to be a fast heart pumping ride!

Easy Virtue by Mia Asher

I was excited to read Easy Virtue and its follow up Sweetest Venom by Mia Asher. Honestly this book started very slowly for me. I was lost and trying to find the themes that were coming through. Give it a chance though because after the first 10 chapters you really start to see who the main character Blaire is. She is a young women who is so afraid of love that she becomes a gold digger, believing that the only thing that's important is money. This terribly neglected girl found her feet and left home as soon as she turned 18, and never looked back. One night she meets Lawrence, a multi millionaire in NYC. The same night she meets Ronan a poor photographer from Brooklyn. So the book forms this weird triangle but so much of the book was more about Blaire and who she really wanted to be. 

The story continues in Sweetest Venom.

Sweetest Venom by Mia Asher Book 2 in the Virtue Series

Sweetest Venom is the second book in the Virtue Series by Mia Asher. It is a continuation from Easy Virtue. If you haven't read the first book, stop 🚦and read it first! 

In Sweetest Venom, Blaire is trying to figure out who she truely loves. The story picks up where Book one left off. We see how different Ronan is as well as how much he has changed due to his heartache. He has become a man who is trying to forget even for a minute with his newest hookup Rachel. Rachel is an older divorcee who wants to help Ronan break into the art world. We see that Ronan has just as many demons as Blaire does. This story is about them figuring out things before they can be together. Blaire is also in a process of learning who she wants to be. 

" Love can be many things. Cruel. Exhilarating. Deceitful. Jealous. Hateful. But at its purest form love can be redeeming- forgiving."

I truely enjoyed both books, and really loved the prospective of fighting oneself before they could be together.

The Calendar Girl Book 1 January, February, March by Audrey Carlan

                                   

This is a very talked about book series that includes four books in total broken up into three month increments as we followe Mia along for a year as a paid escort working for her Aunt out of LA. In the first book we have January, Febuary and March. We begin itch learning about Mia and why she is considering becoming an escort. We learn that Mia's ex boyfriend who's a bookie put her father into a coma because of money he owed. She now is on a mission to earn 1 million dollars to pay off the debt in order to parted her younger sister. She goes to her Aunt Millie to work for her escort service. Mia has to deal with the morality of what she's doing each month as she meets each new man. She really goes on an adventure as well as a journey where she really learns who she is. Each month she goes to a new location, and a new guy with new wants and needs. 

Really well written story, with likable characters and great dynamics.

Teach Me: Lessions in Seduction book 1 by Sophie Holloway

This is the first book in the Lessons in Seduction Series by Sophie Holloway. This is not a full length novel with a HEA. Like many authors are doing today the are releasing parts of the story. This is a serial romance story with a cliffhanger. It is only 10 chapters and about 150 pages.

The story revolves around Jack Bennett and Eva Fiorini. Eva is a 28 yr old virgin, who has known Jack for years. Her over protective brother and father were partners in business with Jack. Eva has lost her father and then her brother both in tragic accidents. Now she has no family and is left wondering how to handle the attention men give her, so she got to the only person she can think to help her. Jack is a playboy man whore who has a different women every night. He's not looking for a series relationship because his business is his primary goal. That is until brunch one Sunday with Eva where she offers to attend a board meeting and support him, if he will do something for her. 

With all of her courage she asks Jack, the man who she has crushed on for years, to teach her the ways of sex and how to seduce a man.

From there this Tory takes an interesting turn with everyone's life and emotions involved in this cute story. It's set in NYC, which really works for the characters. There are hints to something dark and dangerous learning on the edge that Eva may not even be fully aware of.

This book was well written with minimal grammatical errors, and characteristics that were personable and felt real. 

I'm hopefully that the next story helps to fill in the gaps left by the first one.

The Sheikh's Tenacious Lover (The Tazeem Twins #1) by Leslie North

The Sheikh's Tenacious Lover (The Tazeem Twins) #1 by Leslie North is a short story that doesn't give us a HEA but is very well written. We get to meet Rene who is on her honeymoon. Only problem is her fiancé cheated on her a month before her wedding, so she's on her honeymoon alone. She is determined to make the most of the experience.

After coming out of the swimming pool she meets Joshua who is holding her bikini top (which must of fallen off when she dived into the pool). Not the best first meeting.

While Joshua is gorgeous, he is also acting like he has a giant stick up his butt. Rene actually mentions this to him! Somehow these two unlikely people seem to fall for each other. Rene is a very lovable character and the back and forth banter between Rene and Joshua is so fun. There is a major twist in this story at that point when you are thinking everything is going so well.

The story definitely left me wanting more, and with tons of questions. It isn't a cliffhanger exactly but it does leave you wanting. hopefully book 2 will fill in the blanks. Really well written, fast paced with great characters and a easy read.

Rebecca's Gift Book 1 by Ella Dawson and Leslie Johnson

This is a short story, not a full length novel. It's more like part one of a series. It does leave off at a good spot, but also leaves you wondering WTF? This is a dark twisted story. Be very aware!

This story dives into childhood rape, abandonment and a sexually abusive husband who holds all the control.

On the outside, everyone is envious of Rebecca's life. She's married to a very rich man, lives in a beautiful home and lives a charmed life. however behind closed doors her psychotic husband loves to physically and sexually abuse his wife. She is nothing more than a possession that he can put in a cage for days on end, and demand that she sleep with other people.  

Some of the dark raw chapters will really make you emotions spike. It is not a story for the weak of heart. The character development is great, but much of the story line is still in question, leaving us looking to book 2 for answers.

Knight and Play by Kitty French

Knight and Play by Kitty French is not your typical billionaire romance novel. We meet young married PA Sophia Black who is bored with her life and job, so she decides to apply for a new PA job at Knight industries. When she mentions it to her husband he doesn't seem interested, he's more concerned about his 10 day business trip. When Sophie meets with Lucian Black for her interview it is very apparent to him that she is nervous and very vanilla. Did I mention that Knight Industries is the leader in the adult industry with porn, sex clubs and toy development. During the interview, Lucian attempts to get Sophie to say things like vibrator, dildo, and anal beads without blushing. Instead of walking away, Sophie got mad and fought back. Her change sparked interest in Lucian who hired her to start the next day. Lucien does everything he can the first few days to get underneath Sophie's skin. Which is easy because she's so attracted to him. And after being rejected by her husband she enjoys the attention. We learn that Lucian hates men who cheat on their wives, and Sohies husband is not on a business trip, but actually on holiday with his mistress. Things heat up fast between these two, and we are interested in learning why Lucian is the way he is, and what Sophie's going to do about her marriage.

This is the first book in the series. There is no HEA ending for this story. It's not exactly a cliffhanger thought. It does lead into the next story. I loved the idea of a man who wants to help empower women against their cheating husbands. Very well written with characters who are real.

A Knight with Knox by Eve Jagger

A Night with Knox is a short story by Eve Jagger. It goes with her Sexy Bastards Series. This is considered book 2.5. We meet Knox who is a Yankee baseball player, and a club owner with a group of friends in Atlanta Georgia. Its New Years Eve, and he wants to find a women who doesn't know him, even a girl who prefers football. In Walks ???? who's brother is one of the bar owners with Knox. She's amor agent for the Atlanta falcons foot ball team, She knows it's risky, but her brother  is always interfering in her love life. She decides to hide her true identity from Knox. In order to have a night of hot steamy sexy.  The next day when their one night stand should be over, no harm no foul, things all change.

This short story indefinitely a set up or filler story, however the writing is really well done. I'm now going back and starting this series from the beginning.

The Alpha's Bed: Huntsville Pack Series Free werewolf Romance

This is more like a short story then an actual novella. It is a quick read no more than 30 minutes. It is a werewolf story, but you feel lost and confused. Because it's not a standalone it leaves you questioning why you bought it, even though its free.

 It did peak my interest and made me curious about the rest of the series. Just wish I had read this in order, instead of out of sequence.

The Alpha's Mate by Michelle Fox

         

 

 The Alpha's Mate is the sequel to Bring Her Wolf by Michelle Fox. I haven't read the first book, while this is a stand alone novel, it did make me really curious to read the first story to see what happened first to get Jackson and Chloe together. This is a paranormal werewolf romance novel. We have a interesting story about a young girl who went from being a null (non-werewolf) to being the soon to be alpha's mate. Chloe is trying to wrap her head around everything that has happened. 

Jackson had a past, where he tried to find his mate by having sex with every female member of the pack before he found Chloe. But this past has caused many of his past partners to look down on Chloe and resent her. Vicki is Chloe's biggest enemy, and then Kelsy, Jacksons best friend from his old pack shows up and Chloe has to fear her mating due to these other women. Chloe's work is so uncertain and she is trying to learn who she is now that she has her wolf, as well as who she is to the pack as the alphas mate. This is a dark and dangerous story, with the standards of any romance.

Great easy read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Serving the Target by Cherise Sinclair Masters of the Shadowland book 10

                                       

In book ten of the Masters of the Shadowland Series by Cherise Sinclair we get to finally read Domme Anne's story. In Srving the Target, we meet  a female dominate which is rare to meet in The Shadowlands, but we have meet Anne in previous books. We also have meet the Shadowlands Entry Guard, Ben.  This book lets us see how strong men, can be sexually submissive and while strong women can be dominate in the bedroom that it's okay to let a man be concerned and protective.

In this book we see that the Domme sadist Mistress we once knew may be changing. Her boy toy Joey and her, from previous books, are no longer a couple. Anne is a former Marine, former cop, and current bail bonds fugitive recovery agent. She teaches the other submissive a  personal safety defense training and helps out at the local women's shelter. She is a strong women in a mans world, but maybe things are changing for her. She is no longer enjoying inflicting pain on her subbies. She's no longer angry about how the world works with men treating her like she's fragile. 

In walks Ben whole she refers to as the guard dog. Ben I s a vet and has suffered psd. He has always said he was vanilla and nas never been inside the club to participate of watch the goings on. Until one night he pushes things a little to far with Domme Anne, spiking her interest and making her interested in a scene. The person they thought they were is challenged in this story, until they take several steps to really learn who they are now. Everyone goes through the change and Ben and Anne have gone through changes in this story. I loved this story because we get to see everyone else from the series, all the other dogs and their submissives. It's such an great story, even though it's hard for me to relate to the idea of a Domme. While I love the whole series, this book could be a stand alone, but I highly recommend the whole series. Can't wait for the next book in the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
