Book Review: Piece by Piece by Brandy Ayers

I received a advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book has a fairytale type background. I say type because they reference things like jack and the beanstalk. The strip club, is called the Beanstalk. We have Jax who is there to do a job, not the bartending one he got hired for either. He is working undercover to gain information to stop a sex trafficking ring. While he should be focused on his job, he gets side tracked by Harper.
She is a troubled women. She works as a stripper and can't stand what she's become. Because of her sister drug overdose death she is left to help her mother raise her niece. So she strips to make money for them. She doesn't get caught p in the drugs and sex going on with all the other strippers at The Beanstalk. She is going about her life, but barely living, until she meets Jax. He sparks intrigue and desire in her in a very long time.
Can she let this man into her world, and Can Jax afford to fall for her while he's trying to save women from being sex slaves?
Interesting story line, that I wish could of dragged me in, but didn't keep my interest through the whole story. Its a good story, with steamy scenes, but not a great story. I loved the synopsis and had high hopes for this book, but it fell a little short.
4 Stars
