Blog Tour with Book Review for Fractured Beat by RB Hilliard

Title: Fractured Beat
Series: The Meltdown Series #1
Author: RB Hilliard
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: September 20, 2016
When Grant Hardy, Meltdown’s lead singer, falls off the stage in the middle of a concert while under the influence, his record label has no choice but to step in and take control. The solution is simple. Send Grant to rehab and avoid a public relations nightmare by covering it up as a bad case of the flu.
When the rehab facility’s recommendation for extended treatment starts to affect the label’s bottom line, they are forced to find an alternative solution – hire an in-house counselor for the duration of the tour.
There’s just one problem.
Grant Hardy isn’t an addict.
“I absolutely loved this book. One of the best books I've read all year.” ~5 Star Review by Leigh Shen
“Having never read R.B. before I wasn't sure what I was in for and I am so glad I took a chance and read this book! It had a little bit of everything...steamy scenes, enough suspense to keep you guessing, characters that are well developed and you will fall in love with and, well, rock stars.” ~5 Star Amazon Review by Erin McFarland
“Wow! This was my first read by this author and I'm impressed! Fractured Beat had a unique story line that sucked me right in! I didn't want to put it down! I love any music/rock star book, but this one was about so much more than just that.” ~5 Star Review by Sammy’s Book Obsession

REVIEW: I received an advanced readers copy of this story in exchange for my honest review. Grant Harvey is the lead singer for a rock band called Meltdown. He is a haunted man who loves women, beer and sometimes pot. He lost one of his band mates to an OD a few months ago and he's still trying to recover, because he blames himself. His band is on tour, and he's excited to start the show, however minutes into it something goes terribly wrong, and Grant takes up in the hospital to learn that he almost died of an overdose of Oxycontin, a drug that he's allergic too. However no one wants to believe him when he says he didn't do drugs. The other band members are upset and scared and so is management, so without believing Grant they force him into rehab for two weeks and then allow him back onto the tour but only with a sober companion /counselor. This is where we get to meet Mallory, who is not at all who we think she is. She is a strong women who has been beat down and faced her own demons in life. She truly believes Grant when he says someone is out to kill him, because he's allergic to the drug he supposedly took. These two have such amazing chemistry and try to stay out of each others way but are forced together. This book is a rock star romance, but does touch on many touch subjects like addiction, death and suspense of someone trying to back stab and kill Grant. Can Mallory help Grant solve this mystery without getting her self hurt physically or emotionally? Super great story, that I loved every minute of. 4.5 Stars
