I received an arc of Swerve in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first book in the Boosted Hearts series. In this book we meet auto mechanic by day and car their by night Hugo Colton, his brother Joe and their friend. These three guys are put into a position where they are boosting cars for the local mob boss, because their father left th m in terrible debt to this mob boss. The guys have so many cars each month to boost and get shipped, they are almost done paying off their debt and know the boss will do almost anything in order to keep them longer. One night while boosting a car, Hugo comes across a young women dressed in Ian Poison Ivy Costume who's getting hit on by a drunk guy. Hugo walks in and rescues Shay. Shay you a young women who lives in a trailer park, in the trailer her grandmother left her. She is all alone in the world with only her neighbors and BF. She works three jobs, and is barely making ends meet. She was so glad when Hugo rescued her from that jerk, but doesn't expect to see him again, until he shows up at the restaurant/bar she works at. Things speed up, but Shay is damaged goods, and can't believe that Hugo wants anything more than sex from her. She puts herself down and has such low self esteem it's sad. Hugo is floored by this amazing women who doesn't see herself clearly. Andy while he should be focused on paying off his debt, he can't help but fall for Shay and want to take care of her. This is such an amazing story of two very wounded individual who desperately need each other, but need to get past all their shit to truely be together.

Amazing read that I devours in no time flat!

There was a scrape and a laugh behind them. They both froze.

“Hey! Get away from my car,” someone yelled.

Shit.

“Wrap your arms around my neck,” Joe whispered.

“What…”

“Now.”

She did as he said, and he leaned into her, hands dropping to her goddamn ass, again. Then he hoisted her higher, so their mouths were just an inch apart.

“What are you…?”

“Kiss me.”

Joe,” she warned.

“We don’t want him calling security.”

The pulse at her neck was thudding, heavy and thick.

“We don’t have another choice,” he rasped.

Dammit. Her thigh muscles twitched before she yanked up her dress and wrapped her legs around his waist. It was either that, or let her legs dangle above the ground like a rag doll.

He sucked in a breath, then his teeth flashed in the moonlight.

“Get on with it then.” She was going for unaffected, but yeah, she wasn’t fooling anyone. Not with the way her heart was attempting to pound right out of her chest.

His nose slid along hers briefly, skin warm, the beard surrounding his lips tickling her chin, making her shiver. Then he closed the gap, soft yet firm lips pressing against hers. She had every intention of faking it, knowing all too well the dangers of kissing this man. The trouble it could get her into. But then he swiped his tongue over her lower lip, and she was—gone. Just like that, one stroke, one taste of him, the smell of his skin, the rasp of his beard against her cheek, and she was helpless to resist.

Then he did it again, and her mouth opened on a moan. His tongue slid in, tangling with hers—slow, deep, greedy licks that curled her toes. His hands tightened on her ass, squeezing, and she started to tremble. Gripping the side of his neck with one hand and fisting the lapel of his suit jacket, holding him to her, with the other, she started kissing him back. His deep groan turned her lower belly liquid. God, she was losing the battle here. Hell, who was she kidding? She’d already lost it completely.

I received an ARC of Spin, in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second book in the Boosted Heart Series by Sherilee Gray, and this book is just as amazing as the first one! I loved Joe Colton, and after reading his brother Hugo's Story, I couldn't wait to read Joe's. He is such a great stand up guy trying to do the right thing by his brother and family, even if it means disaster for himself. He put himself into a terrible position in order to save his brother and best friend. Along the way he runs into Darcy, a young girl working for her mob boss uncle boosting cars. Joe thinks she's only doing it because the Boss, her uncle told her to f*ck with the boys getting cars in time for their deadline. In all truth she's been put into a horrible position but for all the right reasons. Both of these characters are so perfectly flawed that you can't help but route for them to get their HEA. I loved the heat between the characters, it was hot sexy and simply an awesome read! Loved every second of this book!
