Wow! This book, introduces itself as a historical romance, but that just doesn't cover what you actually get in this story. There is mystery, suspense, intrigue set in a historical period, with some very steamy scenes.
Sam, is a young women who is getting ready to be introduced to society by her sister-in-law. She lost her parents when she was young and two years ago her beloved brother died. She is alone in the world. She is not a typical young women of the time period. She doesn't want to get married, she has a sharp tongue and she loves to fence. She learns that Lord Westwood is her Guardian and will see to it that she finds a fitting husband. However Lord Westwood also needs to find a bride in order to keep his title. With all this going on there is mystery surrounding everyone's death, and all the men who are vying for Sam's hand are potentially murderers.
This was an amazing story, and I cant wait to read the next one! This book did have a cliff hanger, that snuck up on you and left you a little nuts. (okay it left me a little nuts, wanting to know what happens next, but that's a sign of a great cliff hanger!)
