The story revolves around Cat who is on a treasure hunt, or exploration attempting to find this Hope Necklace that she believes is hidden somewhere on this estate in the Highlands of Scotland. In her desire to find this gem she has to deal with Iain who owns the property and soon uncovers the truth of Cat's mission. Cat is a doctor of Scottish History, but not to long ago her ex boyfriend James stole her last research and said it was all his. So now Cat is very cautious and afraid of anyone finding out about her evidence and what she's really looking fore in the Highlands. Then her ex shows up and to attempt to through his off Iain and Cat attempt to pretend that they are dating giving everyone, including James the impression that that is the reason for Cat's visit to The MacCraigh estate. While there is mystery, and treasure hunting there is also the treat of others trying to find the necklace too. All this is going on while Cat and Iain start to grow feelings for each other. Crazy things happen to these two while they hunt for the gems.
This book had some great twists and turns that left me wondering what would happen next. I really enjoyed this romantic suspense novel and look forward to reading the others.
