Unbreakable (Forehead Kisses #1) by Abby Reynolds

Unbreakable by Abby Reynolds is the first book of the Forehead Kisses series. Don't you just love that title?!?! Anyway this is a stand alone novel, but we don't necessarily get our HEA in this book. I'm hopeful that we will in the next books.

This story is a different take on a romance novel. There is not a whole lot of hot smoking sex, so if that's what your looking for I suggest you might like a different story. This book is more watered down, it is a tamed version of a romance, because of the past baggage that Kiera has faced. Kiera's past haunts her to this day, and she can only feel safe with her cousin and best friend Scotty by her side. Scotty tries his best to help Kiera work past her issues of insecurities. One day Scotty is off playing basketball with his group of friends that includes a MMA fighter Liam. The guys decided to go back to Scotty's place to watch the game. That's where Scotty drags his cousin Kiera out of her hiding spot in her room, to sit on the couch with the guys to watch the game. From their Liam is fascinated with this fragile yet strong women who has been damaged before.

Liam is not your typical guys guy. He is very patient with Kiera and really sees that she must of been hurt in the past. As the readers we have to continue through the story to really learn what Kiera's past holds. But the writing is done so well that you are intrigued to keep reading to learn everyone's secrets.

The character development and plot were really well done. I hate to find grammatical or spelling errors thankfully this story had very few.

Angelic Attraction: A Psychological Thriller: Billionaire Dark Romance (Angelic Series Book 1) by Nicole French

This is book one, so you know what that means, we have a cliffhanger here. There is no HEA, this books leaves you hanging at the end, making you either walk away (like I did) or pick up the rest of the books in the series.

While this book is called a psychological romantic thriller, I didn't really get into it as much as some other books that claim the same thing. For me I had a hard time getting past the grammar and spelling issues. It felt more like a English speaker attempting to write like an American.

The story is about a young girl Angel who works at a LA fashion house. She meets Brad at a club, and things start to heat up from there. However Brad is not who he leads us to believe he is. And Angle is having issues at work with her boss. While these two seem like they would be good together there is too much on the outside that makes the reader question the authors motives. All the twists that are considered dark and psychological thriller aspects of this story were predictable to say the least.

I am not a fan of this story, the ideas are good but not implemented well at all.

This story is a stand alone novel. It's rare for M.S. Parker to give us one single story without a cliffhanger, but this is it! This story was great! You have a young girl Hanna Breckenridge, who decides to leave her life she knew with family, and move to California to work for her sister's catering company as their business manager. This book has twists and turns. Like the fact someone is trying to hurt her sister, or the fact that her sister is a dominant within the BDSM community. One night at an event Hanna is left to handle the event because her sister ha gotten into a little car trouble. When mysterious billionaire Cross Philips propositions her. Hanna thinks he is giving her a job, but he mistakes Hanna for her sister. We have billionaires with BDSM lifestyle include the young Neil girl and some dramatic suspense and you have a great story. 

Quick read, with suspense, enveloped characters and hot sex!

 Club Luxe is the box set featuring stories 1-3. I grabbed Club Luxe by Olivia Noble on one of their $.99 Deals. 

I loved our female lead, Victoria Chase is an investigative reports trying to get the scoop on a secret sex club in Chicagos underground. After months of trying she finally gets an invite to the club. So along with her best friend the make it to Club Luxe and are surprised to learn the King of Kink is none other than Malcome Cage a billionaire bad boy. Things heat up and get very crazy when Malcome forces Victoria to work for him to find his daughter who was taken from him years ago when his wife faked her own death and had her brother (Malcome's biggest rival) help hide her. 

This set contains three short stories that are fast paced, with some seriously hot sex scenes and scary danger at every turn.

There are several other books (novellas) in this series but they are all $2.99 each. Just be aware.

Promises of Mercy (Montana Promises-Book 1) by Vella Day

                                        

This is the first book in the Montana Promises books by Vella Day. This is a MMF ménage story. This story is about Amber who is an oncology nurse working and doing her best until her brother is involved in a motorcycle accident leaving him paralyzed. There has been mercy killings at the hospital, one who was Amber's patient. Amber has been talked to be Detective Cade Carter, who investigates her, but doesn't expect her. The parametric, Stone Benson, who brought Ambers brother in has been a great support to her. We later learn after Ambers brother is killed at the hospital that Cade and Stone are not only roommates, but they share their women too. Ménage isn't for everyone, but this story really broke it down in a different way that may help others understand the concept better. This story was really well written, with realistic characters and the added suspense of a mercy killer.

 Definitely a five start book!
